Hello! Today, I'm going to convince you to embrace YouTube—not by literally selling it to you, but by highlighting how YouTube can put you years ahead of your competition, even if you never post a video.

YouTube is a treasure trove of resources. You can learn about almost any topic by watching a few videos, either for free or for a fee if you hate interruptions. I initially got hooked on YouTube for movie trailers, but soon discovered its educational potential. As an architecture and construction enthusiast, I started watching documentaries on projects like the Burj Khalifa, then moved on to green building and TEDx talks. There was no turning back.

Now, I'm subscribed to a wide range of channels. Here’s how I make YouTube work for me:

I search for any topic, like dealing with work conflict as a team leader. YouTube’s algorithm considers my keywords and preferences to find the best matches. I recommend watching immediately to avoid procrastination. Ads can be annoying, but I appreciate the ability to pause, skip backward, share, and speed up playback.

YouTube is convenient and cost-effective in terms of data usage. While I wouldn’t say YouTube University is better than a postgraduate degree, each has its own benefits. Recently, I shared my favorite podcasts and thought it would be cool to share my top YouTube channels as well. Note: I enjoy business, motivation, and real estate content, and this is reflected in my list.

Here are my top ten channels:

- **Big Think** – Covers a diverse range of topics.
- **Jordan B. Peterson** – Offers insights on life, improvement, mindset, and psychology.
- **The Diary of a CEO** – Compelling interviews with emotional depth.
- **TEDx Talks** – Search any topic you’re interested in and dive in.
- **Netflix** – For trailers and clips; proving you can still have fun while learning.
- **Startup Achieve** – Business and startup advice from major company founders.
- **Tennis TV** – Helps me catch up on tennis highlights.
- **Forbes** – Daily briefings on international e-commerce, business, politics, and markets.
- **Jimmy Carr** – For a dose of humor.
- **Manchester United FC** – Not much learning here, but it’s still in my top 10.
