Podcasts: My Secret Hack to Learning So Much About Real Estate Quick
Hey everyone!
Today, I'm sharing my favorite real estate podcasts for those looking to dive deeper into the industry. Here are a few shows I listen to regularly (remember, these are based on my preferences, not a ranking system – they're all great!). You can find these all by searching on the web or in your favorite podcast player. I have also included explanations for why I enjoy each one.
1. Real Estate Insights from Savills
This podcast by Savills, a British real estate services company based in London, is packed with data-driven conversations. Their extensive research and consulting experience translates into mind-blowing insights. They cover everything from client issues and market trends to real estate business strategies, leisure, and emerging trends. They even have a segment called **"Tell Us Something We Don't Know"** and **"Savills Stand Out Stat,"** which keeps you hooked until the very end. Plus, their diverse range of experienced guests ensures a well-rounded perspective.
2. Real Estate Strategies by Ken McElroy
This might be a biased option, but it fits right into my interest bracket. Ken McElroy is a real estate developer, property manager, Rich Dad advisor, and businessman. His podcast covers a wide range of topics with a variety of guests — including regulators, developers, buyers, sellers, and other professionals. As a property manager myself, I particularly appreciate his property management knowledge, and I also happened to read his book, _The ABCs of Property Management_. The episodes are short and easy to follow, and he shares personal experiences and strategies he's implemented throughout his career.
3. BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast
In my opinion, BiggerPockets boasts the most comprehensive real estate knowledge base. This podcast, launched in 2013, has over 800 episodes covering every real estate topic imaginable. I actually had to go back to their first episodes and just sponge up everything I could (not obsessively of course). They even have spin-off shows under the BiggerPockets umbrella, showcasing their deep expertise. As a member, you can access a vibrant community, books, and tons of resources. I especially like the **"Seeing Green"** episodes that answer listener questions and keep things fresh.
4. Real Estate Rookie
This is an offshoot of the BiggerPockets podcast, and it deserves a special mention. When I was starting out, the main show sometimes felt overwhelming. The "Rookie" title says it all — it's designed for beginners. They interview people just starting out, breaking down complex concepts into digestible lessons. It makes newcomers feel welcome and confident that they too can succeed in real estate.
5. Variety is Key!
Here are a few more options to avoid information overload. You won't be able to digest everything at once — trust me, I've tried! I ended up overwhelmed, developed a habit of listening at 1.5x speed, and now I can't even watch movies with others because I want to fast-forward everything!
Tips:
- Start by listening to either the latest episodes or the very first few to get a feel for each podcast.
- Subscribe to stay updated.
- Once you’re comfortable, search their archives by topic to dive deeper.

I hope you enjoy these podcasts as much as I do! I typically listen during commutes, weekends, and while doing mindless tasks. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
