After my last article, someone asked me—how are you so hopeful when corruption is rising and disasters threaten real estate?

My hope is rooted in change. Change, at its core, is progress influenced by action.

Just look at mature real estate markets: they have associations, codes, tech infrastructure, and active public-private partnerships. They're transparent, regulated, and constantly improving.

Uganda is seeing early signs too—PropTech growth, real estate expos, stronger training, better financing culture, and rising thought leadership. Blockchain, data centers, improved access to credit, and public awareness programs are all part of this shift.

Change starts with one person influencing another. Trends are already moving. So let’s push together and build the industry we deserve.
