Syndicated real estate data platform for Uganda operating on a cooperative model where professionals contribute market data for aggregated insights.

Project Genesis is a syndicated real estate data platform for the Ugandan market. It operates on a cooperative model: real estate professionals (landlords, agents, etc.) contribute structured market data on a regular basis in exchange for free, aggregated insights and market reports. This data is then anonymized and licensed to external parties (investors, banks, researchers) to fund the platform.

Vision

A scalable, syndicated data platform for the real estate industry in Uganda (and eventually Africa), where stakeholders contribute structured data monthly and receive actionable insights. The system becomes the go-to real estate market intelligence hub, monetized through subscriptions and data access.

Core Problem

Solve the problem of market opacity in Uganda's real estate sector, replacing anecdotal evidence and "gut feeling" with data-driven decision-making.

System Architecture

The system is built in three distinct, interconnected layers:

1. Contribution Layer

Make it easy for anyone to submit data:

Mobile-First Web Forms: Dynamic web application that works perfectly on low-cost smartphones. Forms pull structure from database for different user types (landlords, agents, property managers, engineers).

WhatsApp Integration: Uses WhatsApp Business API to create a simple chatbot. System messages users directly and collects data conversationally, eliminating login requirements.

2. Verification Engine

Ensure data is authentic and trustworthy through validation processes.

3. Scalable Infrastructure

Store, process, and serve insights efficiently.

Platform Model

Different user groups (landlords, agents, sellers, property managers, engineers) subscribe and regularly submit structured data via forms. The platform aggregates, processes, and distributes insights back to participants (free for contributors, paid for outsiders).

Technology Stack

Modern, modular, full-stack architecture using JavaScript framework for frontend and Python for backend data processing.
